Antalis becomes a key player in the European packaging distribution market.

Antalis, the largest European group
in the distribution of paper and communications supports, significantly
strengthened its position in the packaging market through the acquisition of
Brangs & Heinrich Stuttgart. Antalis’ packaging offer now covers 6 European
countries.
Located in South Germany, Brangs &
Heinrich Stuttgart distributes packaging products - such as papers and boards,
cushioning material, corrosion protection and films - to an industrial clientele
in Europe. With a staff of 300, Brangs & Heinrich Stuttgart holds a leading
position in Germany and is also present in the UK, France, Switzerland, Austria
and Italy. The company recorded a turnover of 80M Euros in 2003.
This acquisition demonstrates
Worms & Cie’s willingness to continue developing its businesses. Through
this acquisition, Antalis reaffirms its strategy of expanding in fast-growing
segments with high potential such as packaging distribution. This highly
fragmented market represents 4B Euros, with a growth rate fairly higher than the
economy. Thanks to the strategic fit of the two groups, Antalis is now
positioned as a key player in the packaging distribution market.
