Pierre Darrot, CEO of Antalis, the leading European distributor of papers and communication support materials, has been appointed Chairman of Eugropa.

Pierre Darrot, CEO of Antalis, the leading European distributor of papers and communication support materials, has been appointed Chairman of Eugropa. He replaces Kajo Lindborg, CEO of Map Merchants, at the end of his two year tenure.
After 10 years at Rank Xerox, Pierre Darrot joined the Thomson Group in 1985 where he held various industrial sales and marketing responsibilities over a period of 11 years. He then joined Alcatel as Director of Strategy and Marketing, Business Systems division, before becoming Managing Director of the Residential Phones Business Unit. In 1999, Pierre Darrot became Chief Executive Officer of Rexel France, and he joined Antalis in October 2001 as C.E.O.
Pierre Darrot has a MBA from INSEAD, and is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Paris. He also has a Masters in Economics and a degree in accountancy.
Eugropa is the European federation of paper merchants and is composed of 22 country members represented by the Chairman of each national paper merchant association.
Eugropa’s role is notably to:
- Develop and promote merchant distribution as THE channel of choice for both suppliers and customers , - Focus on critical issues through its working groups , - Be a forum for national associations to decide on a common position , - Foster and enhance communication among all members of the paper chain, - Promote the interest of its members through lobbying and consultation.
